New Injection Moulded Blades
arriving Mar '08 |
| 19 Feb 2008 |
Using the unique
multi-pitch blade hub systems, we have invested heavily in
the tooling required to manufacture large 3m diameter
rotors using injection moulding techniques. This will
drastically reduce the overall cost of turbine production,
while giving massive flexibility in the design of our
future turbines...

Hydro Turbine Components and Systems
Hydro Components
We are currently developing a range of
MiniWater Pelton and Turgo turbines, and can offer component parts to
both individuals and industry to allow the development of many
different hydro systems. If you don't find what you're looking for on our website,
please email or call with your requirements. If you wish
to develop your own range of hydro turbines using our
components, please ask about our design & development service.

Pelton Turbine Components
We
have developed a range of Pelton Cups (or
spoons) and Pelton
Discs, allowing the individual to manufacture complete
Pelton Turbines using a variety of generators, including
our own flexible range of Permanent Magnet Generators.
These Pelton Cups are moulded in very durable
Polycarbonate plastic, and are easily replaceable if they
become worn or damaged. Their design allows the user
to create a wide range of wheel diameters, but we can
supply a moulded plastic pelton disc of 260mm diameter
(giving a jet PCD of 330mm) to
match the performance of our 2200W PMG range of
generators. For other sizes, please email us for detailed
drawings of the disc sizes that can be made to accommodate
our pelton cups.
Each
Pelton Cup is secured to the Pelton Disc by means of a
single M6 stainless steel nut & bolt. The design of our
pelton discs gives a very robust mounting of the cups,
allowing the completed pelton wheel to be used with up to
4 jets of 20mm diameter, giving powers from a few hundred
watts to over 2200W. The flexibility of this design
allows the user to match the pelton turbine's performance
to the available water head and flow rate. Each plastic
pelton disc takes 24 pelton cups.
Pelton turbines are generally more suited to high head,
low flow rate applications, and typically your site will
require a minimum head height of 15-20m to be effective.

Turgo Turbine Components
We
have developed a range of Turgo Cups and Turgo
Discs, allowing the individual to manufacture complete
Turgo Turbines using a variety of generators, including
our own flexible range of Permanent Magnet Generators.
These Turgo Cups are moulded in very durable Polycarbonate
plastic, and are easily replaceable if they become worn or
damaged. Their design allows the user to create a
wide range of wheel diameters, but we can supply a moulded
plastic turgo disc of 260mm diameter (giving a jet PCD of
330mm) to match the
performance of our 2200W PMG range of generators. For
other sizes, please email us for detailed drawings of the
disc sizes that can be made to accommodate our turgo cups.
Each
Turgo Cup is secured to the Turgo Disc by means of a
single M6 stainless steel nut & bolt. The design of our
turgo discs gives a very robust mounting of the cups,
allowing the completed turgo wheel to be used with up to 4
jets of 30mm diameter, giving powers from a few hundred
watts to over 2200W. The flexibility of this design
allows the user to match the turgo turbine's performance
to the available water head and flow rate. Each
plastic turgo disc takes 24 turgo cups.
Turgo
turbines are generally more suited to lower head, higher
flow rate applications than the pelton turbines, and
typically your site will require a minimum head height of
10-15m to be effective.

MiniWater Pelton
Turbine (complete system)
We
have developed a very cost effective Pelton Turbine using our Pelton
Cups and flexible range of Permanent Magnet Generators.
These Pelton Turbines can be used in areas of high head,
low water flow rates, and have the ability to be fitted
with up to 4 jets, each of up to 20mm in diameter. This
flexibility allows the user to best match the turbine's
performance to that of the available water head and flow.
We can supply your turbine with the correct jetting if you
can supply us with the head and flow rate for your site.
Each
Pelton Turbine has been designed to allow for easy
maintenance of all its component parts. The Pelton Cups
are interchangeable and the generator itself should
require very little maintenance under normal operation.
Pelton turbines are generally more suited to high head,
low flow rate applications, and typically your site will
require a minimum head height of 15-20m to be effective.
